About Us

Sound Data Source is part of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Instutute at the University of Washington. We are dedicated to helping treatment providers and researchers in the substance abuse and mental health communities efficiently collect, analyze and report client data. We accomplish this mission with the development of DirectData and WebData, web-based database tools that are secure, affordable and easy to use.

ADAI was founded in 1973 with the mission to conduct research and disseminate information on substance abuse. Sound Data Source, founded in 1998, develops and licenses software products for use by the substance abuse and mental health treatment and research communities.

DirectData and WebData are licensed through the University of Washington TechTransfer Office.
